Hey guys!
Life as you
know throws a lot of things your way. Some good ... Some bad! But the fact
remains that each of them are memorable in some way or the other! It depends on
how you take it.
Even I am no
exception! I have a heap of memories that I'm extremely fond of, but today I
would like share with you guys the 5 most memorable one's.
I still
remember those times when our entire family would sit on the dinner table
together. We used to eat all the meals as one big happy family. The Wibbs bread
packet which used to be then for Rs.2/-, we would all eat it with salt &
black chilli sprinkled over the bread loaves! Yes, I have seen those days too!
But then too, those are some happy old times I ache for. I'm grateful to God
for showing me those days where we learned the value for money. I have obviously
come a long way since then and its all thanks to times like these that I am
where I am today! It feels wonderful from within to have had the worst and best
in life.
Then next would
be the one from my younger days where I would study at Jaihind College. Before
having seen the rest of Mumbai City and now the world, I would not even know what
is beyond Borivali; I was a complete suburban boy. As a college going boy, I
was very innocent and vulnerable. I was very ordinary. The first year of
college was shocking for me! I did not know much on how to talk, behave, etc.
But then I decided to mould myself well and second year was a shock to everyone
else. I took a year to give myself a makeover to my personality. I remember one
of my friend told me that I was initially like a 'tapori'...but I completely transformed
into a stud then!
The third but
best memory would be obviously, when I met Gauri. It was a turning point and
happened during the 'Breeze' commercial. That's when we saw each other first
but exchanged not a word! Then again fate set our meeting on the sets of Ekta
Kapoor's "Kutumb". Then is when we finally broke the ice. The start
was not smooth but the journey ever since has been. C'mon, by now you all
know the story!
My fourth memory
is again related to Gauri when I had to give her the engagement ring. She was
shooting and I stopped by being very nervous and anxious for her reaction. Very
eagerly and with some butterflies in my stomach, I managed to give her the
engagement ring. Her smile and shock with mixed feelings is something I can
never forget! It's left an everlasting impression in my memory and my love for
her has only deepened
My fifth
memory, but definitely not last in order, is the day we tied the knot. Our
Wedding Day is undoubtedly the most memorable! People say it is the happiest
day in most peoples' lives, and I can surely vouch for that; it truly has been
my happiest day. Gauri and I decided to spend the rest of our lives together
and now that we are going to start a family soon, I can hardly wait to start a
new chapter to our journey with the new addition to our family-our baby.
So these were 5
of my most special memories. Hope you enjoyed reading it, as much as I did
recollecting them.
Boy, do
memories get one feeling nostalgic!
I'll be back
again soon. Hope your New Year has started great!
Love,
Hiten.

Hey guys!
First and foremost, wishing you and your family a very Happy and fun Diwali!
Diwali is one of my favourite festivals. Even though its charm and
value has decreased over time, I have my childhood memories to keep the
festive mood afresh and going.
When I was in school, my family did the regular Diwali celebrations-
a traditional puja, greeting each other with colorful sweets, wearing
new clothes, bursting crackers (that was the fun part!) and of course,
burning ourselves/others!
I was extremely fond of bursting firecrackers. I would attack on chakris, anaars, fuljaris, rockets. We even made geometric rangolis outside our house. Making lots of noise was an important routine my building friends and I would follow. Diwali was something I would await even through my college days.
But it was only later that I understood how adversely its celebrations can affect our environment. The noise and air pollution just increases with ever passing year. I'm no more as fond of bursting crackers, but for the festive celebrations do engage in a few.
Its my suggestion to all of you too, to lessen it and yet have a fun celebration as crackers are not the only highlight of this Festival of Lights!
This years Diwali is special for Gauri and myself as its the last
one together as a couple. Next year we will be a family! We can't wait to
be one! Next Diwali will be even more special with our baby
I have been spending a lot of quality time with Gauri. She is on
complete bed rest at the moment, and is enjoying her last few
months...Our doctor says good news can be expected by November end!
It feels great to have ample of time to be with Gauri. I have finished most of my projects. 'Kitani Mohabbat Hai' and 'Palampur Express' will go off air 28th October. I'm through with all my other commitments thankfully too!
So so far that is all. I hope you all are having a blast with your family and loved ones this Diwali. Gauri and myself (and our baby too!) wish you all a very Happy and Prosperous New Year! May all your wishes come true and your year be filled with love, happiness and good health.
Have a safe Diwali!
Love and Care,
Hiten.
