Hey guys!

Only if I could come out of the screen and show you how happy, excited, overjoyed, over the top, thrilled and much much more am I feeling!! Big smile

Sadly that's not really possible and I'll have to do with conveying everything here through words. Unhappy

I'll have to try hard though, because even words won't do justice to how high and up in the sky 'the' day has made me shoot!

Yes guys... November 11th 2009 was the much awaited day for Gauri and me! Gauri gave birth to Nevaan and Katya at the Lilavati Hospital! We are now the proud parents of twins - a baby boy, and baby girl!

It just couldn't get better than this! Nevaan, Katya, Gauri and me - it just completes the family! Big smileBig smile

As if Gauri's pregnancy was not a great journey by itself, this just added to our parents-in-the-making experience! The pregnancy made us grow as individuals as well as a couple too. Post delivery when we held our little devil and angel in our hands, words can't express what a beautiful feeling it was!

God has been extremely kind in ensuring us a smooth journey from being lovers, to a happily married couple and now parents!

Gauri and I are looking forward to this brand new chapter in our lives and hope to make ideal parents.

Please do give us your blessings and we will be back soon to narrate out how this new chapter is treating us Big smile

Love,

Hiten

Kutumb ... 8 years down memory lane!

Hey guys!

It's been 8 years since Kutumb happened, very aptly as most of you'll have mentioned it to be the '8th year anniversary' for Kutumb! So guys, today's blog entry is dedicated to nothing else but -  Kutumb! Like all of you have ambitions and big dreams, I too had and still have many! I always wanted to make myself known by one and all; to leave behind an ever-lasting, evergreen impression and be remembered for my good work and performances. I too had that hunger for fame and a good name like everyone does. Yes, I had done some good work prior to 'Kutumb' which also gave me some recognition but the turning point was only through and after playing Pratham Mittal's character. People appreciated my ability and helped me realize my potential.

Gauri and I are very grateful to Ekta and God, for giving us this golden opportunity to be part of such a successful drama show. It worked so well! The fun and bond we had when doing scenes showed when aired and I think that's what made the audience relate to our 'Kutumb' family. I, personally, feel extremely fortunate to have been its part. Also since I met Gauri there and our 'Kutumb' too began with it. Tongue As you all know that I had met Gauri and we worked together for the first time through the 'Breeze' ad. But 'Kutumb' helped break the ice! I think the show happened for the two of us, mainly since the connection showed through the advertisement. I was already associated with Balaji while Gauri was not. When we met on the shows set for the first time, we were both happy to be working together since a decent comfort level had already been established through 'Breeze'. Although Gauri hardly ever spoke! She was very serious and kept to herself! While I was a prankster, always up to some mischief or the other! The whole team knew how I was and would often be in splits with the nonsense I would do! I had a ball entertaining them and very soon they understood that this boy who looks so 'innocent' isn't really so! Wink

Once, I purposely wanted to annoy Gauri and did exactly what she did not want! My shoes that I had to wear for 'Kutumb', had a metal kind of sole to it. It would cause a screechy sound whenever I would walk around. And the noise would irritate Gauri a lot! So even when not needed, I would sneakily tip toe, and then suddenly walk normally when she was around! She would literally go, "Arghhhhhh Hitennn!" LOL

Soon the creative team came up with 'Kutumb 2'! That was the good news but the bad news was that only 'Pratham' and 'Gauri' would remain a part as before, with the rest of the cast entirely changing. So it was good but sad, because the bond and rapport that we had established with each other could no longer be continued. The 'Kutumb' family was no more together and it was really very disappointing for all of us. We were not only a closely-knit household on screen, but off screen as well!

In fact, one unknown fact to all is that the script writers would actually be scared to write the 'dining' scenes! During rehearsals, when the scene required the family to sit and dine on the table with food laid out, the characters doing the major part of the scene would be engrossed enacting it, while the rest of us would end up actually finishing all the food! That is how carried away we would get, in chit-chatting and talking away! And when the director would be ready for the final shot, a spot boy would say, "Saab, khana to khatam ho gaya!". LOL The director would get sooo mad at us and give us loud, clear instructions that we DO NOT have to munch down everything and that we should PRETEND to be feasting. Not really! Big smile Then again the food would be called, half an hour later and then we would try keeping control on our tongue and appetite. There was a lot of proximity and closeness amongst all of us.

When we were told that 'Kutumb' is to end soon and that only a few more episodes are left; we were all really upset! For me personally, I was satisfied with the entire popularity, fan base and more important - the love I had earned from you guys, but I wanted more. Smile It's human to never feel satisfactory or think that what you have is enough... Our entire shows cast requested to not put a full stop to the show. We made a few suggestions to somehow keep it going. We tried however we could to not let it end, as it was very close to all our hearts! But then certain things are just not meant to be and everything good comes to an end. So it was final and 'Kutumb' was to stop. The production team too was upset with themselves...

I miss the 'Kutumb' days and hope to take away more such memories from my other shows. Also, form greater equations with all my colleagues and build another happy family, in real life and reel.

Love,

Hiten

Hey guys!

Life as you know throws a lot of things your way. Some good ... Some bad! But the fact remains that each of them are memorable in some way or the other! It depends on how you take it.

Even I am no exception! I have a heap of memories that I'm extremely fond of, but today I would like share with you guys the 5 most memorable one's.

I still remember those times when our entire family would sit on the dinner table together. We used to eat all the meals as one big happy family. The Wibbs bread packet which used to be then for Rs.2/-, we would all eat it with salt & black chilli sprinkled over the bread loaves! Yes, I have seen those days too! But then too, those are some happy old times I ache for. I'm grateful to God for showing me those days where we learned the value for money. I have obviously come a long way since then and its all thanks to times like these that I am where I am today! It feels wonderful from within to have had the worst and best in life.

Then next would be the one from my younger days where I would study at Jaihind College. Before having seen the rest of Mumbai City and now the world, I would not even know what is beyond Borivali; I was a complete suburban boy. As a college going boy, I was very innocent and vulnerable. I was very ordinary. The first year of college was shocking for me! I did not know much on how to talk, behave, etc. But then I decided to mould myself well and second year was a shock to everyone else. I took a year to give myself a makeover to my personality. I remember one of my friend told me that I was initially like a 'tapori'...but I completely transformed into a stud then! LOL

The third but best memory would be obviously, when I met Gauri. It was a turning point and happened during the 'Breeze' commercial. That's when we saw each other first but exchanged not a word! Then again fate set our meeting on the sets of Ekta Kapoor's "Kutumb". Then is when we finally broke the ice. The start was not smooth but the journey ever since has been. C'mon, by now you all know the story! Wink

My fourth memory is again related to Gauri when I had to give her the engagement ring. She was shooting and I stopped by being very nervous and anxious for her reaction. Very eagerly and with some butterflies in my stomach, I managed to give her the engagement ring. Her smile and shock with mixed feelings is something I can never forget! It's left an everlasting impression in my memory and my love for her has only deepened Embarrassed

My fifth memory, but definitely not last in order, is the day we tied the knot. Our Wedding Day is undoubtedly the most memorable! People say it is the happiest day in most peoples' lives, and I can surely vouch for that; it truly has been my happiest day. Gauri and I decided to spend the rest of our lives together and now that we are going to start a family soon, I can hardly wait to start a new chapter to our journey with the new addition to our family-our baby.

So these were 5 of my most special memories. Hope you enjoyed reading it, as much as I did recollecting them. Smile

Boy, do memories get one feeling nostalgic! Big smile

I'll be back again soon. Hope your New Year has started great!

Love,

Hiten.

Hey guys!

First and foremost, wishing you and your family a very Happy and fun Diwali! Smile

Diwali is one of my favourite festivals. Even though its charm and value has decreased over time, I have my childhood memories to keep the festive mood afresh and going.

When I was in school, my family did the regular Diwali celebrations- a traditional puja, greeting each other with colorful sweets, wearing new clothes, bursting crackers (that was the fun part!) and of course, burning ourselves/others! LOL

I was extremely fond of bursting firecrackers. I would attack on chakris, anaars, fuljaris, rockets. We even made geometric rangolis outside our house. Making lots of noise was an important routine my building friends and I would follow. Diwali was something I would await even through my college days.

But it was only later that I understood how adversely its celebrations can affect our environment. The noise and air pollution just increases with ever passing year. I'm no more as fond of bursting crackers, but for the festive celebrations do engage in a few.

Its my suggestion to all of you too, to lessen it and yet have a fun celebration as crackers are not the only highlight of this Festival of Lights!

This years Diwali is special for Gauri and myself as its the last one together as a couple. Next year we will be a family! We can't wait to be one! Next Diwali will be even more special with our baby

I have been spending a lot of quality time with Gauri. She is on complete bed rest at the moment, and is enjoying her last few months...Our doctor says good news can be expected by November end! Big smile

It feels great to have ample of time to be with Gauri. I have finished most of my projects. 'Kitani Mohabbat Hai' and 'Palampur Express' will go off air 28th October. I'm through with all my other commitments thankfully too!

So so far that is all. I hope you all are having a blast with your family and loved ones this Diwali. Gauri and myself (and our baby too!) wish you all a very Happy and Prosperous New Year! May all your wishes come true and your year be filled with love, happiness and good health.

Have a safe Diwali!

Love and Care,

Hiten.
